Washing up up and away.

Not much new to show for the work over the past couple of days. It has been mostly work on cleaning up woodwork, and washing down walls, ceilings & floors. Terri has been removing wallpaper border from the dining room and porch. We were going to do the same for one of the upstairs rooms when we realized that we most likely are going to remove the plaster and lathe from that room.

It might seem strange that we are cleaning before construction, but the smell (from the previous smoking tenants) is incredibly bad. It's going to take a coat of Kilz to finish it off, but this gets rid of the first layer. Now we can stay in the house without feeling sick.

Next on the list.. tearing down kitchen & bathroom cabinets, and possibly a wall or two.

We've begun.

And for once we are going to try to keep a log of the changes as they happen. For us if not for anyone else. We'll start with the before pictures and move along as we progress.
